I am an Italian-trained Specialist Psychiatrist with over 10 years of clinical experience in public mental health services and private practice. I work with adolescents (aged 14 and above) and adults, providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for a broad range of mental health conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, psychotic disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, eating disorders, trauma-related disorders and stress-related conditions.
My clinical approach integrates psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, allowing treatment to be tailored to each patient’s individual needs and preferences. I place particular emphasis on the careful selection, optimisation and monitoring of pharmacological treatments to maximise efficacy while minimising adverse effects and treatment burden. Depending on the clinical presentation, treatment may involve psychotherapy, pharmacological therapy or a combination of both.
I have a particular clinical interest in women’s mental health and perinatal psychiatry, including the assessment and management of psychiatric disorders before conception, during pregnancy and throughout the postpartum period. My practice includes the careful evaluation of the risks and benefits of pharmacological treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in line with current international guidelines and the best available evidence. I also work with adolescents, providing developmentally-appropriate assessment and treatment, and collaborating with families when clinically indicated/
