Meet Dr. Kate Prozeller
Art, Play, & Sandtray therapy for children and adolescents
I am a US-trained psychologist with prior experience serving a variety of patient populations. My clinical expertise in Minnesota and Wisconsin include anxiety, depression, maternal mental health, personality disorders, areas of trauma including physical, sexual and emotional abuse, life transitions and adjustment, grief and loss, behavioral concerns, and eating disorders. I’ve practiced in settings ranging from university counseling centers to private practice and in-patient psychiatric hospitals.
... Where I gained my education and training
My educational background includes both Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. In addition, I hold a Master’s in Business Administration from Hamline University. I am an active member of the Minnesota Women in Psychology, World Health Organization, and The American Psychological Association.
… Where my work experience has taken me
Having relocated to Dubai in 2019, I am accepting new child and adolescent clients for art, sand, and play therapy. My approach to treatment is rooted in compassion and patience. Children don’t always have the tools that we do as adults to express our emotions, needs, and concerns by leveraging their inherent interest in art and play, I seek to better understand their emotional state and the challenges they are facing.
