I hold an M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Guelph in Canada. I have also received training in therapy services from the Behman Psychiatric Hospital in Egypt and United Arab Emirates University (by an Oxford trained psychotherapist). I have completed three couples therapy trainings via the Gottman Institute as well as the APA-accredited Humanistic Existential and Relational Therapy (HEART) training. I have also completed training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction through Bangor University in the UK.

I work with individuals who have mild to moderate anxiety, panic, depression and phobias. In addition I am a trained and experienced couples therapist - I support couples who are both looking to strengthen or save their relationships.

I also consult with government entities, corporations, and schools.

I am a member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, the Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology. I am also a regular reviewer for top-tier journals.

  • I highly recommend Thrive. Dr Sarah is someone I can trust. She’s been fantastic in helping me work through challenges. As a man it’s always difficult to ask for help, but going to Thrive and seeing Dr Sarah was the best decision.

  • I cannot recommend and thank Dr Sarah at Thrive enough for her help. Dr Sarah provides a professional, non judgmental and productive space to speak openly about my anxiety and has helped to equip me with the skills to challenge myself and help alter my behaviour patterns.
